The Modus team welcomes Carla Carmichael and John Mauti to our team as senior consultants.
Carla is a senior leader in the nuclear industry with more than 30 years of experience spanning financial and commercial oversight, project assurance, risk management, and strategic planning.
A passionate advocate for clean energy technologies, she emphasizes their role in addressing climate change and enhancing the socioeconomic well-being of communities.
Carla serves as an advisor to several utilities, helping them assess and prepare for new nuclear projects by focusing on feasibility studies, commercial planning, nuclear program requirements, and risk management. She is a council member of the Council for Clean and Reliable Energy and serves on the board of the Ontario Energy Board.

John is a retired CPA-CA with over 30 years of experience in the utilities and electricity sector.
Throughout his career, John has played a pivotal role at Ontario Power Generation, most notably as chief financial officer, where he guided the company through significant transformations, strengthening its financial position and providing a foundation for OPG’s ambitious capital program.
He also served OPG as chief controller, vice president of planning, CFO of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, and director of corporate restructuring.
In addition to supporting Modus, John currently serves on the boards of Moltex Energy Canada, a nuclear energy company, and Oshawa Power, an electricity distribution provider for Oshawa and surrounding areas.
