Modus Strategic Solutions welcomes Roy Brown to our team as a senior consultant. Roy is a professional engineer with almost 40 years of experience working at Canadian nuclear power plants on behalf of both the owner and contractor organizations.
Roy brings broad and diverse experience from a variety of roles in reactor operations, inspection and maintenance. He has been the accountable director for the most complex and highest-cost projects for the largest nuclear refurbishments in Canada.
Most recently, Roy served as CanAtom Power Group’s Lookahead Director for the Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project that was part of the Darlington Nuclear Generation Station’s Unit 2 refurbishment, a CDN$3.4 billion project that was completed on time and on budget in June 2020. He was accountable for establishing and managing a readiness process to make sure that the workers, tools and procedures were ready to be deployed in line with the project’s budget. He also oversaw a training program for nearly 1,000 craft workers employed by the contractor.
