Managing the Extra Challenges of Nuclear Projects
Our team has significant experience understanding and managing the extra challenges and risks posed by nuclear projects. We have provided oversight, project management and project controls advice on a variety of nuclear projects.
To support new, decommissioning and refurbishment nuclear projects, we draw on our deep experience with large capital project management and specific experience from the last round of nuclear plant development.
Here is an example of the services we have provided in this industry:
Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington Refurbishment Project:
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Darling Refurbishment Project involves the full deconstruction, flasking and storage the reactor components of four 900mw CANDU reactors over the next 12 years. OPG will be executing the most difficult work associated with decommissioning a nuclear plant.
Modus is providing oversight and monitoring of OPG’s planning, engineering, project management, cost, schedule and risk processes as part of this challenging project, as well as capturing lessons learned and providing advice on planning and execution work
