It’s Time Again for the Canadian Nuclear Association Conference

shutterstock_195792437I’ll be attending the Canadian Nuclear Association Conference and Trade Show again this year, and I’m looking forward to another excellent show backing nuclear power in Canada.

Last year’s conference was very informative, with a lot of excitement surrounding the Darlington and Bruce Power refurbishment projects. Combined, those two projects are expected to generate in excess of $26 billion in project revenue, which will have a huge impact on Ontario and the Canadian economy.

As I’ve written before, Canada is taking a leadership role in acknowledging nuclear power’s role in a carbon-free energy strategy, investing in its nuclear plants and developing the public policy and infrastructure needed to support them. Ontario alone draws 50% of its power from nuclear, according to Ontario Power Generation.

The CNA conference is a big part of the nuclear industry’s effort to continue educating the public, influencing public policy, and fostering development of new technology to move the world closer to the goal of meeting future energy demands in a sustainable way.

The show is being held February 22-24 in Ottawa. If you’re planning to attend, I would love to hear from you.
