Modus Presenting at ABA Forum on Construction Law’s Midwinter Meeting

Modus co-founder and partner Carrie Okizaki will co-chair the 2024 Midwinter Meeting for the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law. The program will feature insights from energy industry experts, including Modus co-founder and partner Eric Gould and senior consultant Bill Riggins.
The forum will hold its meeting at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on January 25 and 26.
The theme of the meeting is Power Play: Game-Changing Strategies for Power Projects. The sessions will focus on how U.S. policy is changing as we try to get to net zero carbon emissions by 2030 and how that environment is affecting new large-scale power projects.
Eric will present as part of the first plenary session, titled Stickhandling the Challenges: A Game Plan for Power Project Construction in the Coming Years. His panel will provide a comprehensive review of the key issues currently affecting power projects and share some of the successful risk mitigation strategies being deployed in today’s market.
Bill will present on A Playbook for Effective Stakeholder Management. His panel will offer first-hand insights about how a purposeful Stakeholder Management Plan can contribute to a project’s success and the importance of revisiting the plan throughout the course of a project to address changes to conditions or to the economic, political, or regulatory environment.
